What Ecclisia Means?
Ecclisia is a derivative of Ecclesiastes the book of wisdom. However, Ecclisia pronounced ekk-la-see-ah is from the Greek pronunciation Ekklesiastes. This means "covener of an assembly." The book is often referred to by its Hebrew name, qoheleth, which means "speaker, teacher." Which now brings us to the meaning of Ecclisia. "The called out ones, or a gathering of citizens called out from their homes into some public place." This for us, says it all. Only those that are meant to live in our facility will!
Ecclisia House & Home, this house is for you. Welcome Home.
What We Believe
We believe in the pursuit of happiness and justice for all. We believe if you are meant to live or work in our facilities then you will. We believe the Consumer/Resident should be treated with kindness and respect. We believe the staff should be treated fairly and paid a decent wage, based on experience.
Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievance you may have against one another. Col. 3:13
To care for each individual consumer by nurturing their emotional and physiological needs in our facilities.
To advocate for the rights and needs of each individual consumer by working diligently with various service agencies.
To encourage and assist in re-establishing each consumer with their family and friends back into a regular home environment.
To be a positive role model and example to consumer and staff while providing a safe and loving home environment, conducive to the lifting of the mind and spirit.
We started as an Adult Development Home (ADH) in 2000. For six years the consumers lived in our private home. As rewarding as this was for our family and the consumers, all things must change.
My sons and I had such a heart for this business and the DD population; we felt it was time to expand. We were awarded a qualified vendors license for the State of Arizona in 2003.
Our family has lived in Phoenix, Arizona since 1954. We now have five generations of Phoenicians in the valley. However, for the most part, we all live in the South Mountain Village. Currently, each group home and residential facility is located in South Phoenix.
We are very proud of our facilities and our neighborhood. The families that we serve are pleased with our care & service. The Consumers and Residents we provide service for, love their home and feel safe in the environment.
The Ray-Simpson, Dailey family is proud to service the State of Arizona. We are proud to provide homes and habilitation to the Cognitive Disabled population. We also provide service for persons with chemical dependent behavioral health needs.
We look forward to serving YOU!!
